Yet Another Reason to Love Target: The Beauty Box

A couple of months ago I saw that Target was looking into testing out a beauty box monthly subscription. You may not know this about me but I'm kind of a Target addict. There is one 10 minutes from my house and there was one 3 minutes from my old office so I am always running to Target and could weirdly tell you all about what they have right now. Of course as soon as I saw that I went to sign up immediately and the kicker was that is was only $5! I kind of forgot about it and the other day I open up my mailbox and there was the Target beauty box and it was definitely a good surprise.

Here's the lowdown of what was inside:

Venus Razor-This one is with Olay and makes your legs so soft after you shave
Effaclar Duo Zit Cream- I have to use a prescription cream for my acne so I have tried this but my sister has used it on a few of her spots.
L'Oreal Magic BB Cream- I was a little on the fence about this, I kind of liked it but then I kind of didn't. It comes out a white color and then it blends to match your skin which is pretty cool but then I wasn't really sure how well it covered overall, it was kind of like a magic trick but you aren't sure if it covered.
Sally Hanson Salon Effects Nail Strips- I love these nail strips, the pattern was a little much for me so I gave them to my little sister who is 12, I feel like the pattern was more her speed than mine.
Fekkai Glossing Cream- I have gotten the shampoo and conditioner samples in a Birchbox before and have always liked these products and the glossing cream is no different
A $3 dollar off coupon on your next beauty purchase which I'm sure I will use.

So overall this was a pretty good box. The samples were large which is what I liked so much. Lately I've been a little disappointed in my Birchboxes (with the exception of this month's) so getting this box was a nice surprise. I hope that Target continues to do this, there was a link to a survey that asked how satisfied you were with the box and if you would continue to subscribe if it was offered so I think this was just a test box to see how well it would do but I hope they keep it going. For $5 a month and products that are readily available at Target.

When I posted a photo of my box on Instagram, a lot of people were asking me how I signed up and how they could sign up but when I went back to the site where I signed up, the box was sold out. So sadly, there isn't a way to get a box now but hopefully it will be such a success, they will continue the service and we can all enjoy!

Did anyone else get the Target Beauty box? What did you think?
